Backflow Prevention Service

Our backflow prevention team tests, repairs, installs and certifies all backflow prevention devices.  Our technicians are state certified and go through intensive training to earn their certifications.  Each city has their own codes which our technicians know and follow.  We also have a dedicated 24 hour team for backflow emergencies.
Below are some of the items that are inspected when a backflow is tested:
Double Check Detector Assembly

Reduced Pressure Detector Assembly
  1. Is there damage to the assembly.
  2. Is there rust on the assembly.
  3. Are all parts of assembly in place.
  4. Is the assembly working properly.
Backflow Prevention:
Backflow prevention is also know as cross connection control.  The issue was first addressed by the safe water drinking act which was passed into law in 1974.  Backflow prevention devices keep contaminated water from flowing back into the main water system.  Contaminated water is kept out of the system by a set of valves which close when backflow occurs.  Backflow is often caused by a drop in pressure on the supply side.  The drop in pressure causes a vacuum which can pull water back into the system if a backflow prevention device is not present.
